Idaho Deer Hunting
Idaho has no points of any kind for deer. Residents buy general deer tags over the counter; nonresident general tags are allocated by random draw. Controlled hunts have a limited number of tags and are drawn by pure random draw, so years of applying do not improve the odds. The Regular Deer tag is valid for mule deer or white-tailed deer unless a season says otherwise; the White-tailed Deer tag is white-tailed deer only.
Deciding where to apply? See the Idaho deer draw odds, costs and application dates.
Each guide covers what the country is like, how to get in, recent fires, and what each season is like on the ground.
